Ich bin in Südafrika geboren und spreche fliessend English, Deutsch und Französisch. Derzeit lebe ich in München und biete meine Dienste Europaweit an. Bevor ich mich der Fotografie widmete, studierte ich Malerei und Grafik. Anschliessend assistierte ich mehrere bekannte Fotografen in Europa und den USA. Nach 20 Jahren als selbständiger Werbe- und Modefotograf, war der Schritt zur Reportage eine ganz natürliche Entwicklung.
I was born in South Africa, and speak English, German and French.
I am currently based out of Munich Germany - very central to most European destinations. I studied painting and graphic design before dedicating myself to photography. I then assisted many reputable fashion and advertising photographers in Europe and the US. After 20 years in advertising, the combination of lifestyle and reportage was a natural development.
I shoot people... whether in love... at work... or at play... it is always the human factor that interests me. My strength lies in observation and spontaneity. I respond to the situation and capture the moment. I interfere as little as possible - this enables me to capture true emotions. With 25 years experience in advertising, people, fashion, lifestyle, beauty and social photography I currently specialise in wedding, corporate and event reportage. For me it is monumental. Seriously! It is actually the whole meaning of life in a nutshell!
But I don’t want to philosophise here - I merely wish to express how much this moment means to me - and it is always an honour for me to photograph this day.

That’s what I do best - I always have - whether for an advertising campagne or for a bidal couple. I choose to see the bright side of life. For me the glass is not half-full or half-empty - when two people are in love the glass overflows!

Es geht um Euch - und den schönsten Tag in Eurem Leben - Euren Hochzeitstag!
Dieser Tag ist etwas ganz besonderes. Innerlich und äusserlich findet etwas von riesiger Bedeutung statt wenn zwei Menschen JA zu einander sagen - wenn sie sich lieben wollen für immer und in alle Ewigkeit! Das ist grandios! Das ist für mich weltbewegend. Ich meine das ganz ernst! Es ist eigentlich der ganze Sinn des Lebens! Aber ich will hier nicht philosophieren - ich möchte nur betonen wie sehr ich diesen Moment liebe - und diesen Tag zu fotografieren ist für mich immer wieder eine Ehre.

Das ist was ich am besten kann - immer schon - ob für eine Werbekampagne oder für ein Hochzeitspaar. Ich sehe lieber das Schöne im Leben. Für mich ist das Glas nicht halb leer oder halb voll - wenn sich zwei Menschen lieben läuft das Glas über!

Whether sports event, corporate event, family event or just plain celebration event, I will cover this day and document the many moments that make it memorable. Apart from the key shots, group shots, speeches, awards etc, I capture reactions and unscripted moments, with multiple points of view.
I developed this ability as a cruise ship photographer, over a two year period in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Baltic. I was the social photographer onboard a high-class 400 passenger ship, and was forced to deliver superior results consistently. As you will see in my event gallery, I have a behind-the-scenes approach. I seek out the not-so-obvious perspectives and cover many angles simultaneously, thus giving you an all-round insider impression of the event.
CORPORATE PHOTOGRAPHER - BUSINESS FOTOGRAF - FIRMENEVENTS
I shoot annual reports and business brochures for various companies - and the same principles apply here. I have been asked to "humanise" what is normally considered to be a very cut-and-dry world.
I simply take what is already present and highlight the human element - it is always there! - however hidden it may seem. This has paid off greatly for clients who wished to project a more user-friendly and down-to-earth corporate image.
MUSICIAN - MUSIKER - COMPOSER - MUSIC PRODUCTION
My other great passion is music. The music you hear on this site was written and played by myself. I was fortunate to study at the renowned Berklee College of Music for a year. To this day my guitar hero and musical guru is Pat Metheny!
